Introduction
The basketball dome covers an area of approximately 5,400 square metres and includes a standard Slam Ball competition court with a dedicated trampoline training area, as well as a number of sports and fitness areas. It also includes six standard basketball courts, which can also be used as badminton and volleyball courts with silicone mats. It adopts an air-bearing membrane structure with a length 142m x 38m x 15.5m, a two-way cable network, heat-insulating membrane, light belt on the top, equipped with centralised intelligent control system.
This air dome achieves energy efficiency through:
Lightweight PVDF membranes (high insulation, 30% less HVAC load vs concrete)
Natural daylight optimization (70% light transmission reduces artificial lighting)
Air-lock entrances minimizing thermal exchange (3°C interior stability per 1Pa pressure)
Smart pressure-thermal coupling systems dynamically adjust energy use
