Introduction
Traditional construction requires a large area of the site as a building foundation, while air supported structures adopt high strength and high flexibility film material as the main material. Using the principle of air pressure support in the sealed space, the outer edge of the membrane material is fixed on the ground foundation or the perimeter of the roof structure, using the inflatable system to send a large amount of air into the internal space of the membrane, when the pressure inside the membrane is greater than outside, there will be a certain difference in air pressure, and the gas inside the membrane will be able to support the membrane material to cover the ground or the roof, to form a large-span, beam-less and column-free architectural space.
Traditional stadium construction is low difficulty, fast construction and low cost. Generally speaking, the cost of an air dome is only 1/3 to 1/5 of a traditional stadium.
