Introduction
In DaTong Science and Technology Innovation Park, the main venues utilize advanced air-supported membrane systems. Two inflatable pavilions, spanning 5,000 square meters and 3,000 square meters respectively. Notably, air-supported structures can achieve expansive spans of up to 120 meters, with column-free and beam-free interiors that allow flexible spatial configurations for exhibitions. These two inflatable air domes are equipped with energy-efficient lighting fixtures on their roofs, significantly reducing lighting costs. The membrane material is coated with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), providing solar reflectance and thermal emissivity rates exceeding 85%, qualifying it as a "cool roof" system. This design effectively mitigates urban heat island effects and supports energy conservation. Additionally, the unique operational principles of air-supported structures reduce heating and cooling energy consumption to merely one-third of conventional buildings. Currently, such membrane structures are widely adopted in both sports facilities and industrial complexes.
