Introduction
Rooftop space is often constrained by structural and load-bearing limitations in traditional architectural, making it difficult to expand new space here. However, air membrane stadiums, due to their light weight, can be customised to suit the shape and needs of the roof, ensuring maximum use of space. This flexibility provides cities with more design possibilities, and the application scenarios for air membrane stadiums are extremely wide-ranging, from sports venues to leisure and entertainment venues.
These air domes are constructed from a clear polythene material with no additional supporting structure and are kept inflated by a continuous running fan creating an internal pressure. Entrance is via a revolving door to maintain the slight internal pressure.
